Qigong Mantra Meditation - Visualisation of Vesica Piscis
by Yoshi Omori
Qi gong is a practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for exercise, healing, and meditation. Qi gong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi) or what has been translated as "intrinsic life energy » and Qi gong exercises have three components: a posture (whether moving or stationary), breathing techniques, and mental focus on guiding qi through the body. The prerequisite is a calm, relaxed state of mind.
This Qi gong work is characterized as “Silk reeling”, alternating fast/slow motion and bursts of power. Making circles and spiraling movements, working with yin and yang, full and empty, right and left.
The benefits of this practice are that it makes it easy for you to concentrate, makes your body soft, correct your posture, relaxes you and enables circulation of energy fluid. The method is great to improve work and performance. Good for warm up and focusing.
